Smart Relationship

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about smart relationships and to not share personal information online. We did this to learn about being safe online and not giving your information to strangers such as address, age, full name, what you do after school and much more. From now on i'm never going to  give my address to a stranger not that I ever have apart from when I’m buying stuff online

Have you ever learnt about smart relationships?

Every monday and thursday Te Ngahere and Te Maunga do P.E. The sorts we do are netball, soccer, skill games and touch. We did it to learn skills and more thing about these games I think I ran really well when we were playing baseball in skill games. And next time I need to work on teamwork and passing the ball.

My Best Drawing Ever

On Wednesday we did a google drawing. We did it to show our learning in a creative way and to learn to use the tools on google drawings properly and more confidently. I think on my google drawing I did the New Zealand flag really well and the cross on the flag. To improve my drawing I should add some more fish and some seaweed to make it more realistic. In the future google drawings would come in handy if I’m trying to draw something.

Creative Technology

On tuesday the year 7&8s went to tech. When we first got there Mr.E told us all the rules. After that we got a block of wood to make a replica Waka. First we had to use a ruler to measure exactly 22mm on each end and 7mm on each side, we ruled a line at the 7mm mark and also at the 22mm mark and the cut along the lines we drew with power tools. An interesting fact: The left side of the boat is called port and the right side is called starboard the front is called bow and the back is called stern. It was quite hard to cut exactly on the line without going all wonky. Next time I need to focus on cutting exactly on the line.Have you ever been to a technology class

Brain Twisting Test

On the first day of term 2 Te Ngahere did a following directions test to see how good we follow directions. First Whaea Becks gave us a piece of paper we had to flip it over so we can’t see it when the teacher says, we flip it back over and start. There were 23 questions the first one was read these questions very carefully and all the questions were there but the last question was only answer question 1 and 2 and patiently draw on the back of your piece of paper and wait for the others but no one saw it. What we learnt was to always read carefully and pay attention and that's what the teachers were trying to teach us. When the teachers showed us the bottom question the whole class was so shocked. Next time me and probably most of the class will read carefully and check the bottom question.
